SUSO (Stand Up Speak Out) is a groundbreaking musical dedicated to ending bullying in schools and beyond. Created by four-time Emmy-nominated Jill Nesi, SUSO captivates audiences with a powerful, once-in-a-lifetime immersive experience that inspires change.
The Workshop
The SUSO Workshop is a transformative five-day immersive experience for 12–18-year-olds passionate about exploring the theatrical arts. Guided by two Theatrical Arts Directors (TADs), students prepare to deliver a powerful, deeply moving ten-song mini-musical on the final day. Before the workshop, participants attend SUSO Academy, an online learning experience that equips them for their roles. The program fosters measurable growth in public speaking, performance, and teamwork skills—and it’s a lot of fun too!

The SUSO Leadership Team (SLT) is composed of talented and charismatic actors with the expertise to deliver Broadway-caliber performances. The script and songs, written by lead author Jill Nesi as well as Jordan Nesi, and Mike Song, are powerful and a joy to perform. Leading our Theatrical Arts Directors are Riki Klaskin, an award-winning graduate of Pace University’s Theater Program, and Kayleigh Joseff, a gifted Louisiana State University graduate with a remarkable ability to help young performers excel in acting, singing, and starring in theater productions across the Northeast.
